Ultrasound guidance benefits for joint injections

Ultrasound guidance uses real-time imaging to visualize the needle and the target joint (or tendon/ligament) on a screen during the injection. Here’s why it matters, especially for regenerative treatments like PRP, exosomes, and mesenchymal stem cells:
1. Higher Accuracy
The needle is guided directly into the precise location of damage or inflammation.
Blind (landmark-based) injections miss the intended target a significant percentage of the time, especially in deeper or smaller joints.
With ultrasound, the injectate goes exactly where it is needed.

Nerves, blood vessels, and cartilage are visible in real time, so they can be avoided.
This lowers the risk of accidental injury or injecting into the wrong tissue.
